Photos of The Cottages
Mystic River Homes, or the Cottages as the community is known, is 46 garden style apartments nestled on a hillside overlooking the mouth of the Mystic River.
Opened in 1979, Mystic River Homes is a non-profit, USDA subsidized elderly housing establishment which strives to provide a pleasant, quiet, safe, and neighborly environment for very low to middle income individuals or families. In order to be considered elderly, a household must consist of at least one individual who is 62 years of age or older and/or disabled of any age.
We have 4 buildings, each with an assortment of studio, one bedroom, and two bedroom apartments. Each apartment shares a porch with one neighbor and has its own garden. We are in a lightly wooded area and it is not unusual for us to have visitors ranging from deer, to foxes, to the ever present wild turkeys!
